Summary
On September 28, Fritz, Joey, and I were the recording team for both Symphonic Winds and Wind Symphony. After discussing, both Joey and Fritz did not want to take on the role of “Executive Director,” so I was more than happy to fill in that role (lol). A lot of the work I did was prior to the performance itself. I not only emailed back and forth with Dr. Cox about details (getting the program, time, etc.), but I also had a meeting with him to discuss where we were going to be putting mics, the stage plot, and movement of the pieces and bands. We used the same miking technique as everyone else.
On the day of, I tried to make sure I was out of the way and allow Joey and Fritz to do their jobs, but I also helped tape down all of the mics, figure out the Dante system in A, and also press record in ProTools.
